The kids had a blast on the sledding hill. After the snow fell non-stop for 4 days, the hill had a lot of snow.

Rachel, Aspen and Tami, work hard to build there Ice fort. NO

BOY'S ALLOWED!

Aspen and Jared took advantage of the snow storm that blew threw last night.

The kids and I flew out of Dominica for the last time. It was a surreal experience, to be

leaving. I am excited about going home and seeing family and the snow! I will always look back on my experience in Dominica with fondness. I won't pretend it was easy, but I will appreciate what I have with a better understanding of what its like to go without.

Aspen final Horseback lesson. She had Improved a lot in the last year, she has more confidence in herself, and is able to trot without the line.

Our trip to Roseau, and Titou Gorge.

Hello everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!
We had a different sort of holiday, the kids and Josh both went to school. Since they do not celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday here. The Power was out for six hours making cooking in the dark over a gas stove so much fun. We had Chicken and Potatoes, Stuffing, and Pineapple upside down cake. It was not the same, but we had good friends over and that made it feel more like home. I hope you all back home enjoy your holiday!

Happy Halloween! Aspen was Mulan, and Jared was Captain Jack.

The kids got to go to a Halloween party, and went trick or treating around campus. The students and professors handed out candy, It was LOTS of fun.

Jared is busy making a raft, no sea turtles though.

Jared turned 6 years old, I can't believe my baby is that old. We had dinner at Tomato's, the restaurant catered to the pirates crew while they were here on the island, so the have signed posters from the actors. Jared's favorite is of course Jack Sparrow. We had some friends over for a party, Jared made quick work of opening his gifts. He loved his presents and his new pirate costume. If he had his way he would never get out of it.

Well here is our local butcher, today's specialty, Swordfish. And of course its fresh caught delivered in the back of a dirty pick-up truck and cut by a rusty machete, YUM!

Well here goes nothing, I have tried to get a blog working for long time, I hope this works.

We are back on the Island and the first month of classes are done. WOW! that went fast. Jared's birthday is on Wednesday and he is so excited. Aspen started second grade, she is doing really well. Jared stared first grade and is doing better than we expected him to do.(he is able to focus on the task for longer than 60 seconds). We hung up our Halloween decorations, Pumpkin cut outs. Although they don't celebrate Halloween, the kids are still excited for it. Josh takes his first exam today, he has studied so hard he will do great. Well until next time!
